I tried Orthodoxy, but that was just
completely unintelligible. "How?" I asked myself. "How could these
superstitious dimwits actually believe that mechanical repetition of the
same script every week might change you, might help you grow nearer to
God?? It's just the same thing over and over!" It was preposterous. Not

DRACUT, Mass. -- Police in Dracut are
searching for the person responsible for vandalizing a
church.Parishioners at the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox church found
disturbing messages spray painted across the back of the church

Details From Local Synod Meeting Emerging
The news agency Reuters published a photo
of the Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. The caption read,
"Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem Irineos (C) walks through the
Church of Holy Sepulchre before Palm Sunday liturgy in Jerusalem's Old
City April 12, 2009." Unfortunately, Reuters got the name very wrong.
Irineos was deposed some three years ago for selling Church property to
Israeli investors. It was in all the news, even Reuters carried the
scandal. So much for fact checking more....

to pass Patriarch Kirill's questions to Pope
Minsk, April 27, Interfax - Belarusian
President Alexander Lukashenko plans to discuss a number of issues that
were recently considered at his meeting with Patriarch Kirill of Moscow
and All Russia with Pope Benedict XVI in the near future."We agreed
[with Patriarch Kirill] that I will readdress a number of questions to
the Pope. Such a visit [to the Vatican] is being planned, and it could

for a day of nationwide prayer for repentance on April 28 and called on
