'Icon" could be one of
the most abused words in the English language trendy-speak for
anything that is faintly noteworthy or prominent. Its traditional
religious meaning has long been drowned out by chatter about
"iconic" this and "iconic" that, and there's no way that the quiet,
and largely unnoticed, visit of an Australian man to Nelson this
week could have done anything to rescue the word's original meaning

- Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia paid tribute to the
memory of soldiers fallen in the Great Patriotic War.To the mournful
music played by the honour guards orchestra, Patriarch laid a wreath
to the Eternal Flame burning at the Kremlin wall. The Orthodox cross
